A folded leaflet containing some information specific to group of lines. Initially produced in at least seven variants, see the enlarged banners below. Click on the image to display a large readable version. (These leaflets were difficult to collect as they were only available in the specified area. Much travelling was required when a new version appeared to try to get the whole set).

Connex
Connex Upfront
The Upfront leaflets were sub-titled Your local Connex update. Different editions were produced for different areas highlighting the improvements etc in the area. Though some articles were used in all editions much local material was included. The areas included below include Lewes - Appledore, the Caterham branch, the Croydon area, East Grinstead & Oxted, Carshalton & Streatham, Wadhurst - Hastings, London Termini.It is not known if other areas were covered as much travelling was necessary to obtain as many editions as possible when a new one was spotted.

A well produced magazine took over from the Upfront leaflet in May 2002. One edition covered the whole Connex area.

The leaflet left announces that Connex have won a 15 year franchise starting on 13 October 1996. On 27 June 2003 it was announced that Connex had lost the South Eastern franchise. The October Upfront magazine (above) was the last produced before South Eastern Trains took over from Connex on 9 November. |
