Train to Plane 1985 (Agency: J Walter Thompson)

Targeted at business travellers, this objective of this commercial was pretty straight forward, to show the ‘comfort’ and space benefits of travelling InterCity rather than flying. Hence the end line by Hywell Bennett, “the 7:45 from Euston, nicer than your 747!”. The commercial was first transmitted in February 1985.
